There is nothing to sign up for. Open the game and the first board is waiting.
See what is insideFollow the journey map to the glowing level, or open today’s Daily Trail. Pick how the words hide: Classic Lines, Diagonal Paths or Wild Trails.
Drag across a word, or tap its first and last letters. Each word you find lights a lantern; stuck, and a spark shows you where one begins.
Find every word to clear the board and earn up to three stars. Move on to the next level, or replay this one for a fresh layout and a better time.
What it does
A hundred levels that grow with you, a new trail every day, and a little help when a word will not show itself.
Ten chapters of ten levels across Sunset Valley, Moonlit Lake and Alpine Meadow, each an illustrated world. Boards grow from 6×6 to 10×10 as you go, with more words to find and some of them hidden backwards.
Classic Lines runs words across and down; Diagonal Paths hides them on both diagonals; Wild Trails goes every way at once. Swipe across a word, or tap its first letter and then its last.
One free board a day, the same for everyone, in a world and pattern picked by the date. Finish it day after day to grow your day streak; a new trail arrives at midnight.
Every board comes with three sparks. Use one and it lands on the first letter of a word you have not found yet.
Clear a board for one to three stars, worked out from your time and the sparks you used. Replay any level you have lit for more — it deals a fresh layout every time — and beat your best time.
A chime for every word, a haptic tick as your finger crosses each letter, and an optional music pad under the board. Share a result card after a win. Reduce Motion on your phone is honoured.
Straight about ads
Wordbound is free and shows ads, but never while you are playing a board: a banner on the journey map and one ad when a level is complete. Rather have none? Watch one short video, if you choose, and ads are gone for 24 hours.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before any ad is requested.
FAQs
What people ask before they start a new puzzle game.
No. There is no sign-up, and every level and the Daily Trail play offline. When there is a connection the game fetches its remote settings, loads ads and sends usage counts and crash reports to Google, as described in the privacy policy.
A hundred, in ten chapters of ten, across three illustrated worlds. Boards start at 6×6 and grow to 10×10, and you can replay any level you have cleared for a fresh layout.
One free board a day, the same for everyone, in a world and pattern chosen by the date. Finish it on consecutive days to build your day streak. A new trail arrives at midnight, your time.
Sparks are hints: three per board, each landing on the first letter of a word you have not found yet. Stars, one to three, come from how long the board took and how many sparks you used — replay a level to earn more.
They keep the game free. You may see a banner on the journey map and one ad on the level-complete screen — never while you are playing a board. Watch one short video, if you choose, and ads are gone for 24 hours.
Only on your phone. There is no account and no copy on a server of ours, so progress is not synced between devices.
Yes. Settings has switches for music, sound and gentle vibration, and for showing the timer. If Reduce Motion is on in your phone’s accessibility settings, Wordbound calms its animations.

A word that should not be there, a board that felt off, a world you would like to see, or something that did not work — it goes to the person who builds the game.
